The Visiting Artists program is realized through diverse forms of collaboration with curators, institutions, and self-organized initiatives that invite cultural workers to develop projects at Clanz.

The specific conditions of each residency depend on the structure of the cooperation and on the available funding. Beyond production itself, projects are expected to contribute to the local artistic discourse and to establish meaningful forms of exchange with the surrounding context.

Clanz privileges longer-term engagements, recurring stays, and formats that allow research processes to unfold over time. Rather than promoting short-term visibility, the program seeks to cultivate sustained relationships, mutual learning processes, and forms of situated involvement. There are no fixed limitations regarding medium, language, or field of practice. Nevertheless, the program’s main focus lies in fine arts, architecture, spatial practices, and environmental design.
