Throughout spring / summer 2024, Clanz cooperation partner Adriatico Book Club implemented their project POP Adriatico (Porto Osservatorio Partecipato) in the Monumental Gates of the Old Port of Trieste, the urban interface to a vast abandoned zone which currently is about to be re-integrated into the livable web of the city. After research programs, workshops, filmscreenings and music events, the On Site concert concluded both the POP event series and the Clanz Sound Residency ´24.
Under the three-aisled roof of the former customs clearance, a four-channel PA establish a soundfield, which was fed by the three very different acts of that evening: Gustavo Petek performed a minimalist-structuralist sequence of rhythm patterns in permanent progressive modulation. Adina Camhy condensed the field recordings she been collecting during her stay in the karst into a colorful pictorial composition, which later was elaborated and refined and has been released on smallforms in autumn 2025. The duo Togander/Schwab virutously showed off their improvisatorical skills in integrating local sources and material into their sound repertoir.
